about town {hometown} ruffle scarf...

Yay! It's today!

I'm very excited to have been given the chance to design a little something for Moda Bake Shop! My "About Town {Hometown} Ruffle Scarf" is on today's menu... and it's delicious if I do say so myself!
Be sure to stop by the bake shop to have a little peek...and thanks so much for visiting me here today!

dresden plates... a tutorial...

My girlfriend Andrea is really into making Dresden Plates and until I tried one of my own, I didn't believe her telling me how easy and fun it is. She made me this one for Christmas and I just love it! She's showed me what her Dresden ruler looks like, so when I came across one while shopping at Jo-Anne's over the weekend (and saw that it was 50% off!) I snatched it up pretty quick. When I told her that I'd found a ruler, she decided to post her long-planned tutorial on making Dresden Plates. She did a wonderful job on the tutorial and I should know... I followed it and look at my two lovely Dresden Plates! One is made from an Aster Manor charm pack (I actually got 4 of this size, and a sweet litle mini from the leftovers!) and the other is Bliss... leftover from my Birdie Stitcherie project. Man, do I ever love getting good value out of a fabric purchase!

Thanks Andrea for a great tut!
