Just thought I'd share some pics I snapped last night at the Scout Vintage Market... if you didn't hold a lucky ticket last night, don't worry! It's open to the public today from 10-4. See you there!

...and to all, a good night...
See these smiles?
That's what happens when you leave the Christmas Market Season on a happy, happy note.
Fieldstone Vintage Market, we love you.
Lots.
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to finish thawing out.
Oh, and my Birdie Quilt from the previous post now has a brand new home. Like I said, we left on a happy, happy note.

today's market {in a nutshell} was...
Today was perfect. I would not have changed a thing and feel so thankful that there was a space for me. (And for Julianna, who made a wonderful helper! I couldn't have done it with out her!)

under the big top...
What a weekend! I'll let the pictures do the talking while I go make coffee... and plan the best way to tackle the unpacking/organizing that always comes after an event like this...
Thanks so much to those who stopped by to say hello and do a little shopping! You're the reason we do what we do! And we hope to see you at our Christmas Open House in November!

open for business... wanna quick peek?
So I couldn't seem to settle on hours for this years' Open House... at first I thought I'd just go with Saturday all day... then it was Friday evening and Saturday... then Emily reminded us that it would be a good idea to check our roadsigns... sure enough, the hours on them say Friday 12-9, and Saturday 9-5. So there you have it. It's Friday, a little after noon, and ready or not, I'm open for business!
If you hurry, you can be the first customer!

Sunday update
Yesterday was Yarrow Days and we had a great time. Long day for my back though. I had lots of sales (even a quilt!) but the best part of the day was watching my girls' hard work pay off for them. For weeks they've been working on their handpainted pencils, and as a last minute addition they also made bookmarks to sell. They've grown up with me being a part of the market circuit... having them participate makes it so much more a family event!
Emily had to leave early as she was having a tooth pulled at the dentist. It was her last baby tooth and it was not budging on its own. The new tooth was growing under the roots of the old and there was even some fusing to the bone. What a process! But she's better today and we're relieved there's no more dental violence in her future!
As I type, Robyn is on a plane to Calgary. His brother will pick him up and they'll head south three hours to Pincher Creek. Robyn is helping Russ with tile and finishing on his new house... so for the next two weeks, the girls and I are bachlorettes. We've done this once before, about a year and a half ago... but it's still a long time to be apart. Robyn's dad phoned this morning with the news that it's below zero Celsius out there today... um, we just finished a string of days that were in the mid 30s! Considering that my husband is allergic to the cold (yep, he breaks out in hives and everything!), we hope he has a good trip!

1 Season of Open Houses + 1 Holiday for Me = 1 Giveaway for You!
Yes, the day has arrived... My Brown Bag Studio's final Christmas Open House weekend for 2008. The amount of work that goes into something like this is really amazing, if I do say so myself... but so worth it when it all comes together. Can you handle more pics? This time it's at my house...

This is what you'll be entering for... a wooden winter garland (remember that little painting class I recently taught?), a grungy snowflake candle mat, a sweet snowman sled, a snowflake shaped snowman ornament, and with love from my home to yours, a pair of saltbox magnets. If you'd like a chance at this little prize, just leave a comment! I will draw the winner on Friday, December 5th and mail on Monday, December 8th... the day we leave!
The comments left by friends who faithfully visit me here on my blog are so wonderful... and for quite a while I've had to giggle when reading them because most of them contain the question "Kimberly, when do you rest?" Well ladies, my time is drawing near. After next weekend's two day show out in White Rock, Robyn and I are off for a week on the Mayan Rivera for a MUCH needed break. And THAT, my dears, is when I shall REST!
So, I think that a little giveaway is due right about now! We don't have snow but I know that many of you do, and so I thought a snow themed gift that will last you all winter long would be fun. As the lucky winner opens it, be sure to think of me and my fruity little drink soaking up the Mexican sun this December.
Have a blessed day! I'd better get ready for the sale...

Momma said there'd be days like that!
And now, the mad rush begins... 4 days and counting till set up time over at Andrea's.
Thankfully, I'm finally on the mend, but what a journey this cold has been! I wouldn't wish it on anyone!
Happy Sunday!
~Kimberly
