sewing room sale... and a winner!

I've had a busy week. I've sorted through my sewing room from top to bottom, in preparation for a major destash by way of a sewing room sale tonight and tomorrow for a few hours. Now that my work is done, would you like to have a little look around? Come in!
Welcome to My Brown Bag Studio!
Many of you have been here before but I'm pretty sure you've never seen it quite like this...  because I always try to clean off my big table before inviting you in. Today though, it's loaded high!
As I cleaned my space, I thought long and hard about what I could part with. Fabric, tools, odds & ends... how did I accumulate so much stuff? I assure you, I had the best intentions when buying and could definitely still make use of everything, but it just felt like time for a fresh start. Besides fabric, there are some surfaces for a tole painter to create on...
...lots of patterns that I've enjoyed...
...and of course, baskets and bags of fabric!
As I was setting up, I wanted to make things as pretty as possible in my space. So my old sideboard
(that is freshly organized with new dollar store baskets - function on a budget!) got spruced up...
...my design wall got dressed in its scrappy block best...
...and my awesome husband even threw together the perfect little pegboard/shelf piece for display...
The rest of the room is filled with quilties, bags, and wooden pieces that until this evening will be available in my two etsy shops here and here. Click the "here's" if you'd like to shop!

This is a little walk around the "store" part of my studio...

Thanks so much for visiting today... and if you live in the Fraser Valley/Abbotsford area and would like to visit me for my little "Open Studio", my hours are today, Friday Jan 17, from 7-9pm, and tomorrow, Saturday Jan 18th, from 10-1pm. Just leave me a comment and I'll let you know the address!

And now... it's GIVEAWAY time! Thanks to Green Fairy quilts for their lovely prize of a Sewing Box jelly roll!

The winner is... Tanya Quilts in CO! Congratulations! Her organizing tip was... "I already get their newsletter and shop there too often! My best organization tip is mason jars for perle cotton and buttons sorted by color. Thanks!"
