Christmas past...

Wow, more than a week since Christmas already... time sure flies!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year with my family although it was a little quieter without Deeda. I made some special little ornaments from her favorite cardinal sweater... because Christmas, cardinals, and Deeda went hand in hand in hand.
Unbelievably, I didn't get any pictures of the day, except for my parents' lovely tree display. Their house was beautiful this year!
Some special friends joined the party for Boxing Day, onesies and all... it was so fun that they got an up close and personal glimpse of our family's steal-a-gift antics!
Then, on Dec 27th, we headed off eaaarrrllly for a 13 hour drive to visit my in-law's in southern Alberta. The trip was a surprise for my mother-in-law and it was so great to see them!
And of course their Christmas tree was amazing too! I love this picture...
I only ventured out of the house a couple of times (too cold for me!) but the pictures of the farm and the mountains were worth it!

We left on New Year's Day to drive back to B.C. and spent a night with friends in Penticton. I love seeing our girls have a chance to catch up!
Our drive home through beautiful B.C. ...

We got home last night from our little holiday, unpacked and hit the laundry... and tonight I have a house full of Emily's friends for an after Christmas Christmas party. Never a dull moment around here!
Happy New Year everyone! I can't wait to see what God has in store for us in 2014!
