masked beauty...

Friday was a very full day for our family... and especially for Emily. You can see my last post for more on that.
Friday night was the high school banquet.
It was a masked event... and she made her mask. Of course.

Since Christmas is approaching, we're on more of a budget than usual, so you can imagine how thankful this mom was that Emily loved my going away dress from my wedding...
I tackled the hair...
Make up was a joint effort... (love this shot!)
The shoes were plain fabulous.
Gloves are mine, and earrings and necklace were her great grandmother's... so fitting that Emily wore them.
It was such an emotional day.
After the banquet, she went to a swing dance party. And she knew that Deeda was on the piano, tapping her toes in heaven.

Emily looks just lovely. I remember those MEI banquets!

I missed your last posts somehow - so sorry for your loss. I lost a grandparent this past year as well so I know what that is like.

Emily, you look so pretty and so elegant. I love your dress...so simple but so stunning on you and t he gloves. I think girls are getting back to the classic gloves...AND I can not forget the hair and the shoes. Hair was lovely and so in style ( I am a hairdresser who used to do lots of up-do's) but those shoes.... take the cake...I love them!

You looked so pretty and I just wanted to take this opportunity to tell you how beautiful you were!

Your Mom and Dad should be so proud of you and your sister. you are very nice girls!

Merry Christmas!
