prime real estate...

At the vintage market this past weekend, I stumbled upon something that just about knocked my socks off... and that's saying something considering that my socks were firmly planted in my rubber boots at the time. It was this amazing little piece of real estate, and thanks to the generosity of my sister who splurged on it as an early Christmas present for me, my fabric now has a dream home to call its own...
It's a lovely little home... on the upper floor, there's a toy soldier themed boys room, sweet little bathroom, and spacious master bedroom...
...the kitchen is bright and sunny...
...and who wouldn't feel safe in a living room complete with a rifle over the fireplace?
The only trouble is, I wouldn't like to have nosy neighbors like this!
But the good thing is, my fabric doesn't seem to mind and looks quite at home already... sheesh, it didn't take long to move in, did it?

I think I had a doll house just like this one! It brings back so many memories. What a great idea for your fabric!

I also had a doll house like this....or very close to it. Does it have a date or manufacturer or any other info on it that you could search to find out how old it is. I received mine for a Christmas gift when I was 8. Let me tell you if yours is that old you have a real antique! lol. Awesome early gift! :)

Very cute and clever use of the doll house.

I'm old enough to have played with one just like that, too. It was one of my fav. toys. Love the pic. of the kitty peeking in!

Boy that doll house brings back memories. Makes me wish I still had it.
