she's perfectly English...

Thank you to everyone, for your kind comments on my last post. Reading through your heartfelt messages really meant a lot.

After losing London, we weren't sure how Java would react. Their friendship was always on Java's terms and playtime was based on her moods. That didn't stop London from trying though! She was persistent with her 'big sister'. It was surprising and a little sad to hear Java wandering the yard meowing here and there the other day. It sure seemed like she was looking for London. We decided that not waiting to get another kitten would be easiest on her... so... let me introduce to you little miss English...
Strange name? Not if you know our family. We've had Orange Pekoe the canary, Earl Grey the zebra finch, and Java & London Fog the cats. See our theme? Tea and coffee? With this kitten we (I) wanted to name her in such a way that London would always be remembered. London is in England, and English Breakfast Tea fits our theme.
English was a gift from my sister Jenny and she is a real blessing. (And so is my sister.)
Yesterday for Father's Day we had my family and another family over for the evening. With 6 teens and 6 adults all seeking the new kitten's attention, English was the perfect little lady. No biting, no scratching, no hiding, and no complaining. So delightful.

I think London would have really loved a little English in her life.
I know that we will.

its always so sad to lose a pet and watch the others seem to be looking for them I lost my chelsey after 16 yrs she was sick for so long and our lab pup would lay next to her always trying to get the others food no matter what he never touched the bone that lay next to her for days and he missed her so much

Oh...she is very pretty and looks kind of delicate so Miss English is a perfect name for her. What a little sweetheart!
