swooning...

So I decided to start a Swoon quilt... for real. I've made a few individual blocks in the past. The first one was scrappy...
I really loved how it turned out and am kind of sad that I sold it. Oh well, there's definitely more scraps in the bin to make another one with! Sigh... there are ALWAYS scraps in the bin, no matter what I do...

The second looks a little like this... can you see it through the not-so camera shy kitten?
I think that one will eventually turn into a small quilt of four blocks. Although, if you've seen the size of the Swoon blocks, you'll agree that even just four blocks will make anything but a small quilt!

And last night, using an adorable "Fly a Kite" fat quarter bundle,  I finished the first block of what will become (I promise!) my first complete Swoon quilt.
I'm so excited that I've started the journey. After all, making the first block is the same as taking the first step.

Love all the fabric choices... think scrappy would be my favorite tho because I do a lot of scrappy.. and you are right the scrap bin never seems to lighten its load.

I love the way the dots and stripes look in your block.

Love this classic quilt block! Not called Swoon tho in the 'block' books I have... And love your country themed first block, and the second block and the third block, yeah, it looks good almost anyway you do it!
