a time to rest...

It was a heartbreaking injury at a pivotal time in her grade 8 volleyball career... she landed badly during long jump in PE a week ago, just days before Provincials. Thankfully she's a strong girl, who was a strong support to her team...
...and thankfully she's also a strong student...
But even the strong could use prayers.

Abba, Father to both myself and this precious girl, hold her in your arms and comfort her young heart. Fill her with the peace and patience that is necessary to heal. Help her find joy in cheering on the team, even when she can not play with them. AND most especially dear Papa comfort her mother...my sister...affirm in her heart that her girl will be just fine. Amen.

I am so sorry to hear about Julianna. My granddaughter is playing basketball in the AAU League and some girl broke her leg this weekend. She came down on it just the wrong way and so that happened. Julianna, I know you feel like the bottom of the world has dropped out but there are always reasons for these things. Maybe God thought you needed a rest? But I know how disappointed you are.I will say many prayers for you. Next year you will be a major part of the team, I know. But for right now, I know it is hard. Try to stand by your team. Good luck.

Can you tell I have had sports players in my family quite a bit? I sure do understand how you feel.

Ahh, what an angel, I'm so sorry. :( That's a good kid to support her team. It's so rough to miss out when you're that age.
