trash to treasure...

My friend Rhonda joined Andrea and I on our Tuesday timeout this week and she was working on an adorable little quilt. She played with her layout for a while, then sewed her charm squares together... only to cut them apart! At the end of the day, this was what she'd created...

...and this was all that remained of her initial little quilt...

When our Tuesday sewing time was over, I was quick to say "yes" when she offered me her scraps, and after some creative cutting to put the pieces back in line with the grain, I came up with a fun little runner with a ragged edge scalloped trim...

Who me? Thankful that I said "yes" to those scraps? You bet! Thanks Rhonda... your trash turned out to be my treasure!
