a decorating journey...

I have sold no less than three quilts directly off my entry way wall over the past few years. I've always thought it was funny, but it does make decorating challenging, especially since it's the first wall people see when they walk in my front door!
Since Christmas, my wall has been empty and desperately in need of a new quilte.
So today I decided to get to work.
I pieced together four of my Autumn Journey scrappy trip around the world blocks, and added some flowers and crows to the borders.
Hopefully the handstitching part of the journey won't take me too long and I can get it hung... just in time for it to sell!

I love your style of quilts. I am not surprised to hear; that people want to purchase them from you! Good luck at getting the new one hung up on the wall soon.

Too funny about selling quilts off the walls Kim - that's never happened to me -which is a good thing - cuz I'd have a hard time parting with them! I'm in the process of making a scrappy TAW and I'm pretty sure I'll have a few extra blocks when I'm done. Might have to borrow your idea and do something similar.

What a great way to combine two ideas! I love pieced quilts with applique in the borders!
