Today was the first back to normal day since Christmas for me. I've missed routine so much, but enjoyed the break so much as well. Our Japanese student, Kyoka, left us on Dec. 23 for two weeks in Japan, so Christmas was a time for just our family. It was a nice break. After Christmas, Robyn's parents came from Alberta to visit and we enjoyed the time with them immensely. They left on Sunday afternoon, and Sunday evening we had our last get-together of the season with friends before school started up again. It was a great end to a great holiday. My girls went back to school yesterday, and Robyn and I headed to the airport to pick up a jet lagged Kyoka. Today, it was back to normal... and since it was a Tuesday, Andrea and I decided to jump back into our timeout routine. Yay for routines!
This is what I worked on today... cutting lots and lots of 2 1/2" squares of Ruby and Vintage Modern scraps, with the hopes of turning them into a granny square quilt. (I'm blogging from my phone tonight since no matter what I do, my computer will not let me upload any pictures from my phone)
