another birthday...?

...didn't I just have one?

Yep, yesterday was the big day, and since my grad class is now planning my 20th year reunion for next summer, I'll let you do the math to see where I'm at!

My family celebrated my grandmother's 97 birthday on Saturday and I got to tag along for the party. This was the beautiful jam-filled-three-layered cake that my girlies whipped up... awesome!
And my birthday yesterday was spent almost entirely alone! Robyn and the girls went in to the Vancouver airport (an hours drive each way) to pick up our returning Japanese student, Kyoka, and since her flight was more than 2 hours delayed, well once again you can do the math! It was a lovely - but quiet - morning spent in my sewing room. Happy birthday to me indeed! And since tomorrow's the big back-to-school day, I think I'll draw my birthday out just a little bit longer with a pumpkin chai. I do love September!
