I've been hexed!

I'm sure I'm awfully late in jumping on the hexi bandwagon, but am I ever glad I decided to give them a whirl!
My girlfriend/partner in sewing and I each bought a package of the plastic templates during our latest Joann's run (it's a trek across the border for us, but makes for a fun girls' night out!) and thought they'd be great for each of our upcoming holidays to the beach.
Well I quickly realized that plastic was not the way to go for me, so I began researching paper piecing.
This was my source for inspiration and I haven't looked back! (My daughter began color coordinating them as fast as I made them!) I followed the awesome links and learned all I needed... and now here I am with a sweet pile of hexis!
Addicting? Yes! If you haven't already, give 'em a try! Just don't say I never mentioned the addicting part!
Now the question is, What am I going to do with them?

...send them to me???

*big grin*

The hexies are great and you're lucky to have a resident hexie sorter.

Me... I'm delaying hexies until I retire since they might be too addictive...

I love working with hexies! I really want to make Laurie Simpson's bag she had in APQ magazine!

I've been hexing away this summer too - so far have made about 250, 1" hexagons and I have about half of them sewn together. I'd say it's about the size of a kitchen floor mat. Don't know if I'll make it to an actual quilt size!! What size hexies are you making??

By the way, I use paper for mine. I don't know how plastic would be a good idea, especially sewing them together you really need to be able to bend them quite a bit and for me, plastic just would not work.

Um..you could make me a quilt out of them! :) Seriously, they're so pretty! Love all those colors lying there together!

I have hexie love too. So far this summer I have made a couple of pincushions with them, and also 2 gorgeous craft bags using thepattern in Cath Kidston's Sew book.
