it's bakeshop {at the beach} day!

I'm so thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with Moda Bake Shop yet again, and this is a project that I'm very proud of! It just makes me smile! Allow me to introduce my "Lucy's Beach {Poetry} Quilt"...
When I was younger, I discovered a love for writing poetry. Now that I'm a little older, I'm happy to have discovered a new passion... quilting! Well, I recently decided to put the two together, and this was the end result...
I was taken in by all of the colors and patterns in Sweetwater's "Lucy's Crab Shack" from the moment I first saw it, and my mind started composing a poem right away. It's simply one of those fabric lines that doesn't disappoint! (I love it when that happens!)
The quilt contains a poem all about a day at the beach... one of the very best parts of summer!

Here is the first verse in the quilt...
...and here's the end of the six verse poem as I was stitching away...
I hope its inspired you to stitch a beach quilt of your own!

Thanks so much for stopping in today! I really appreciate your visit! I hope you're summer days are long, your sunburns are few, and your quilts are plenty!
