shabby little makeover...

A few weeks ago, Elisa and I had a little swap... one of my aprons for this beauty...

She was a little stained and so Robyn and I gave her a white burlap makeover...

Hot glue and burlap can fix anything, right?

After we finished, I didn't like how tidy the sides looked. I thought that she could still use a little perking up, so I began sewing ruffles... and without a ruffle foot, it was interesting... and messy!
More hot glue...
And voila! What do you think?

I just love her ruffled curves!

I have always wanted a mannequin for displaying during my markets and events and was so excited with this trade.

The ruffles are a fantastic addition to your new dress form... and it appears that the ruffle will help keep displayed handbags on the shoulder too!

She looks great. You can dress her up differently everyday. It will be like playing with barbie again.
