rolling right along...

Another few busy days here... tomorrow my girls (and my dad!) and I are participating in the market at Yarrow Days and we're all looking forward to it. Hopefully the sun will come out to play - it's pretty wet right now! Emily has been sewing plush Angry Birds like crazy, Julianna has been stitching adorable sock monkeys and they both have scrapbooked some beautiful cards to sell. Poppa's been putting his fly tying knowledge to work and has lots to show and sell. Me? I'll be there with my bags and purses. All in the family, right?

I've gotten a tiny bit further with my new quilt project {for MBS}... and I'm telling you, that Lucy's Crab Shack fabric is a total winner! Here's a little peek...
I also got my hot little hands on a Lucy's jelly roll and already put it to use in prep for my next big market, {the Olde Farmhouse Vintage Market at the end of June}... because once I chose the dmc colors for my other project, I just had to make a little something right away! How could I resist?
The Lucy jelly roll and a Ruby jelly roll I already had were perfect for the idea I had to make canvas/stitcherie pieces. Here are the two I have finished so far... what do you think?

Do you have ideas for other canvas/stitcheries I can do? I'd love the input since I really need to keep the momentum going, especially if June flies by as fast as May did!

Hmmm, no ideas for you but everything sure looks great. Hope the rain stops for you. Pretty wet here too. Pooh.

These are great! Maybe with the Lucy's Crab Shack fabric you could do a summer-ie one, like a crab, umbrella, surf board.etc... you get the idea. I live seeing all the wonderful things you make. Keep it up!

I've been reading your blog for awhile but I had no idea you lived that close to me. My parents live in Yarrow (I live 10 mins away). I go to Yarrow Days most years but this year I was away. A few of my kids were there though and my daughter was in the parade handing out candy.

How did your table do?
