projects, prep, and a prize...

Since I'm involved in two large Vintage Markets in the next couple of months, I'm finding myself in a bit of panic mode these days. So much to do and so little time! I've got the Scout Vintage and Handmade Market at the end of May... my girls, dad and I have tables at a semi-local event, Yarrow Days on June 2nd... and then on June 23rd, I'll be participating in the Olde Farmhouse Vintage Market. Like I said, so much to do and so little time!

This weekend, I worked on a bunch of sweet brooches, and I think they're perfect to dress up a jean jacket. I have a dozen so far and have had a blast making them! (They're inspired by this tutorial over on Moda Bake Shop.)
I also had a bunch of felt letters die cut at the scrapbook store with the intention of making a burlap bunting with my studio name on it for booth advertising... but since space will be very limited at the markets, I decided instead to go this route and use my magnetic board. What do you think? I'll add the ".com" and then hang the little flags from twine.
And now for the winner of my "lemons to lemonade" giveaway... Sinta Renee of Pink Pincushion . Congratulations Sinta, and thanks to all for your kinds words! I'm all healed up and ready to make more lemonade! This was Sinta's comment... "I think lemons from the dentist are the worst kind! But I also believe in lemonade... if you have read my blog this year, you would know that my hubby was in intensive care for 81 days/you can do the math! But for every problem, there is an upside! your potholder is proof!"
