Thanksgiving thankfulness...

Yesterday was Thanksgiving and we really took the day to slow down. The last couple of weeks have been a little crazy for us. But we're so thankful that God was with us through it all since I don't know how we could have done it without Him. There were Emily's extra early band practice mornings that definitely had me wiped out. Robyn's back pain meant time off work. I was more than stressed about having to physically chase down payment for some quilts. I had a doozy of a flat tire while across the line.  Our neighbours enjoyed running their air compresser and impact drill after 11 at night.  And then we blew a fuse Sunday morning while getting ready for church, and half the house shut down. Yes, they're just life things, but they felt like they were getting the best of me. My creative motivation went out the window at a time when I need it the most. So this weekend we just stopped and did nothing. And it felt good.

Actually, we didn't {just} do nothing. I cooked my first turkey dinner all by my onesies. And so we ate. And enjoyed. And were thankful because God is so good.

I know all about the little things - I can't seem to make it more than a week without some appliance or another (which are all fairly new) going out. However, glad you had the opportunity to slow down and be thankful, it's nice that it's just small things to get through! Oh, and your thanksgiving dinner looks delish!

Congrats on the Thanksgiving dinner; it's such a great feeling to do it all by yourself, isn't it?

Don't worry about all the headaches; it's just small stuff in the whole scheme of things. Enjoy your kids before they grow up and take the time to give them an extra snuggle.

Hugs!

Even though we will celebrate Thanksgiving in just a bit over one month, I am thankful for you. Your blog and creativity inspires me. Thank you for all you do -- I hope you truly were able to enjoy a "slow down and be thankful" day. You certainly deserve it. . .

Blessings....
