will I crumble or crisp?

There are all kinds of people in the world, with all kinds of things going on in their lives. God made us that way, and He made our lives that way. We have no way of knowing what's around the corner, what will be dealt to us. But it's what we do with the hand we're given helps us handle difficult circumstances.
It can be so easy to crumble when things get tough... but a tough situation can also make us crispy... stronger. Responsibilities, challenges, stresses, pressures. It says in the Bible that God does not give us more than we can handle. I think that when things are a little too big for us to handle on our own, then that's where others can come along to hold our hand.
In writing this post, I'm thinking of a lot of people who may feel a little crumbly these days, and with good reason. There's a friend of mine who's waiting through some very difficult and question filled tests... there's the family of the 14 year old boy at my daughters' campus who recently passed away from cancer... and there's my mom who's embarking on a journey that will change her.
I trust that God will continue to make me the person I need to be for her through the next few months... crispy and not crumbly.

You will be "crispy" not "crumbly" for your Mom...just you wait and see. And you won't regret a minute of it. God bless you, your Mom and your family.

You made my eyes leak - for our friend waiting on those tests, for those parents who have outlived their child - something none of us can bear to think of and for what you and your mom face. Sometimes with my aging and fraikl parents I feel like I will crumble - but they were crips for me for so long and now it is my turn for them. I know you will be that way for your mom too!! Big hugs!!

PS I can spell but typing - apparently when my eyes are leaking I don't do so well!

I love this post and it is so true. I think of my son in law with this post. My daughter has to be crisp and not crumble during these trials.

I love the scripture you quoted and it is so true.

Have a great weekend.
