A while ago, Gina asked me if I'd like to swap some of our handmades... how could I not agree? So I sent her a quiltie for her to hang on her fabulous quilt crane (I've really gotta get me one of those!), and a set of quilted coasters. She sent me the sweetest swag that I've hung in my office/sewing room... each of the petals on the flowers are a word... joy, hope, kindness, wisdom, and gratitude. I just love it! I'm showing my room at its cleanest, so you get an idea of where the swag is now hanging. She also sent a stuffed and hand painted watermelon slice with a couple of hungry crows attached. It's right at home with my enamleware berry strainer. Thank you, Gina! You're a sweetheart!
And then there's Colleen... I think she might be my blogging friend from farthest away, with her being on the East coast of the USA, and me on the West coast of Canada. Colleen makes the awesomest salt dough ornies, and I am so jealous... if you know me well, then you know that I don't "do" anything floury, fuzzy, or furry. Touching anything like that just grosses me out!! So Colleen did the touching and making for me, and I traded her a quilted table runner that I'd made. I'm so thrilled with my new ornies... and since they've been dipped in scented wax, I can actually touch them without gagging! She must know me pretty well! And that's, I think, what friends are for!
