May flowers...

It feels like maybe, just maybe I'm getting back in the quilting swing. I really haven't felt like spending any time in my sewing room at all lately and it's been really frustrating! But on Tuesday, Andrea and I decided to get back into our groove and get a little something done. Our Village Samplers that we pieced over the past few months aren't finished yet, but the bulk of the work is behind us. So on Tuesday, I chose fabrics from my stash of scraps and fused my flowers that would join with some sweet basket blocks to become this... It will need sashing and borders and I'm thinking my trusty red pindot print would be perfect. Here's a close up of the flowers, all ready to be appliqued...

Have a wonderful Mother's Day weekend! We've got a gorgeous sunny day today and Emily's birthday party is tonight. No plans other than that... no plans made by ME at least!

I'm having the same problem. No intrest in sewing right now. I joined a summer group to make a block a day and we'll have a pot luck and share our tops in Aug. That has pushed me into walking into my sewing room. I decided to use up so vintage 30's prints so now I'm beginning to get a little motivated.

Blessings,
Rhonda

Your ETSY shop looks fabulous. I haven't sewed anything for awhile either, but I want to. I will have my life back in about 4 weeks, and I can't wait!! I hope you have a very Happy Mother's Day. You are such a great Mom to your girls. Savanna and Emily are emailing now. Savanna wasn't a very good letter writer, so I suggested she email instead, and it seems to be working. Both are such cute girls. Have a great day. Julie
