a three-in-one celebration...

My dad's birthday was near the end of March and my mom's birthday is coming up next week. With Easter falling right in the middle, we decided to celebrate all three in one this year. So yesterday was a day of celebration all the way around... there were treats for the girls, an egg hunt for the adults (woo-hoo!), and birthday gifts for my parents...

These two stitching projects were both made by Emily...

Julianna gave my mom a kitchen/recipe themed scrapbook kit and a promise that they'll work at it together, and she made a batch of homemade baked oatmeal for my dad. It's become a bit of a tradition that we serve it on Christmas morning, but my dad would rather see it a bit more often than that. I'll post the recipe the next time we make it.
And here is a special picture of my grandma and my girls... aged 12, 94, and 11... these pictures are becoming more precious as the years go by...

I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend!
