Spring Break breaks...

First of all, I've just gotta say a huge *THANK YOU* for all your wonderfully sweet comments about my Village Sampler quilt! I spent my sewing day on Tuesday at Andrea's with it in my big hoop working on the applique. There's a lot ahead of me but I know that it will be worth every single stitch! You can bet I'll show it off again soon, and hopefully can look into a professional quilting job.

So now we're nearing the end of our overlapping Spring Breaks here in the Friesen household... you remember... three weeks of no school. I can't say that we've been all that busy around here, so I don't have an excuse for the lack of blogging, but I'm sure that time flies for everyone now and then. While my girls were each home from school for their 'own' week, I took them out for a little day trip. Julianna chose Chilliwack and Emily chose Maple Ridge as their destinations. Both days were really nice... with coffees, lunch, and lots of window shopping. I snapped a quick pic of both girls on their day... Mother Nature made for a wonderful backdrop...

Both girls look like they each enjoyed "their time" with Mom. Great pix. Emily is almost lost in the blossoms!

We talked about spring blossoms today in preschool. Spring is such a welcomed season, isn't it?!
Love the photos of your beautiful girls.

We don't have blossoms yet, but I know they are close.

I had to look at your village quilt--I enlarged the photo--again, oh, and again. Are you hand-appliquing and hand-quilting it? It is so awesome. I also love the color of your bedroom wall.

I know that one day I will get brave enough to do that quilt. I ordered the pattern. I think I can, I think I can....Julie

There is nothing like time with our children. Looks like you had a great time. Still waiting for something to bloom in NJ.
