scrap saver pillow...

Another 11th birthday invite... another giftie made from what we have on hand. I asked the mom what colors would suit Paige's bedroom and she said anything bright and fun. Right away I thought of this fabulous scrap saver project by Cluck Cluck Sew. Here's the outcome... It has a great stripe cotton on the back that goes perfectly with the dark brown front.

Now I think I might have to make one of these for myself! I have a pile of the best Hallowe'en scraps just waiting to be put to good use... or maybe something Christmasy or wintry...? Nah, I think if I do one for us, it'll be spring themed for sure! 'Cause after all, spring is in the air - here on the west coast at least!

What a great gift!!
Yeah, you guys on the west coast get a much earlier start to your spring than us poor buggers here on the east coast!! lol

What a lovely design and gift! I love giving something homemade and getting homemade in return. You know that it is made with love and special care and a OOAK gift that you can't buy elsewhere.
Enjoy seeing all your quilting projects and reading about your family.
Take care.
