money saving (on a) Monday

I'm happy to report that flyer shopping has really become a way of life for us and that it's paying off like we never expected. (I'm keeping a running tally of the year's savings on my sidebar to help keep me motivated.) I usually shop on Sunday afternoon - that way I have a helper or two along for the ride. It takes organization to flyer shop! But today I headed out alone and by the time the dust settled I saved $63.48. Just typing that makes me smile! Money's never something that's in abundance in our household, so taking the time to read the flyers, make a list, and check it twice is making a huge difference!

We've been flyer shopping for a while now and it does pay off. One store we shop at doubles coupons (even on sale items) and offers free gas perks. We haven't paid for our gas for over a year!

Awesome! I've been a flier shopper/meal planner for years. It feels good, doesn't it?

I also organize my shopping list by department/layout of the store. It saves time once I'm there and helps keep me on track.

Keep up the good work, Kimberly!

Sounds great! I have started to get down to business with more coupon clipping and pinching pennies this year. Our local grocery store was tripling the coupons and I stocked up with some fun items!

We have always called it 'couponing', but I like your term 'flyer shopping' much better. It is amazing how much you can save by matching coupons to the sale flyer's. It's well worth the effort.

When my husband lost his job last February and didn't go back to work until October, we really had to cut corners, and "coupon shopping" was one of the ways we did it. Now we are hooked. Great job!

That's great! I use coupons too but our stores do not double coupons. We have 3 stores in town to shop at and one doesn't take coupons at all.

I am proud for you and your savings. The coupon savings do add up. I will have to try and keep a total of what our coupons add up to.

Good work!!!

WOW!! I am impressed. I hear of people who save like this but have never disciplined myself enough. You have given me the incentive to get my act together and do it!
