I had to laugh...

...when I enlarged the pics in my past post...

The quilted throw on the back of my couch has been around a while. And it's been in direct sunlight for most of its life. A few of the blocks have held up really well, like the green/yellow and the black/red. But others...

See the difference in the seam? This fabric was once a very yummy pumpkin-ish color! (I know, I know, my hands are a mess - I'm in fabric all the time!)

Let's just let this be a friendly reminder to keep your quilties out of direct sunlight!

I noticed the same thing on a quilt of mine the other day as we were redoing a bedroom for Joy (the upstairs guest room). The sun shines through the window and that quilt is quite faded! Oh well...I learned a little lesson! :)

I love your quilt though!

HAve a great day, Kimberly!
