it's a big ol' bowl of alphabet soup...

...and let me tell you, this quilt is just as satisfying! Here's the top all pieced and ready for me to cuddle under while I applique... I added a band to the basket to dress it up, and a hand to the 'heart' block. I thought that the applique blocks near the bottom were getting fancier than those at the top. For the 'y' block, I went with a stack of yellow ware bowls. Prim enough and perfect for alphabet soup!

Well Kimberly I am just so excited about your quilt top. It looks great. And, ah hem..........glad you chose to use yellow ware bowls that I wanted you to use! They are a favorite of mine.
You did a great job.

I LOVE IT!!! I know we are kindred spirits because I have that book. I just don't have the quilt done like you do :)!! I like yours better than the one in the book anyway!! It is darling. KUDOS to you for getting it finished!! Anything with the alphabet catches my eye. Must be the teacher in me. Have a super day. Julie
